DIGDIA is often asked "what kind of HDTV should I buy?"  Easy question to ask, difficult one to answer.  Consumers are faced with an array of choices, and they change each year. Confused by all the choices? By the end of these slides, you won't be any less confused, but at least you may know why.

2006 may be the first year when it is "safe" to buy an HDTV set and feel that it won't be instantly obsolete in 2007.  But, what do you look for?  What questions do you ask the salesperson?

These slides won't pick out the perfect HDTV set for you - each person has different needs and budgets - but they will explain what factors to look for as you go about deciding, and do make recommendations.

They also show a few of the exciting things manufacturers were sharing at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  Many of these products won't be available this year, if ever, but they give you an idea what the industry is thinking about.
